Some OTT Reunited stats
I saw an article the other day re an organisation described in numbers. I thought I might try it and put "Who and What" we are about in the same simplified manner.

We have like most groups many more readers than writers these days. Our three conduits for information/contacts etc are:

OTT Reunited website, Group email address and RAMC OTTs Facebook page.

Some colleagues subscribe to all three some to one or two only.

We are of course still seeking new members although they are becoming few and far between these days. So if you are in contact with anyone we have lost get them on board........where are: Cliff Forshaw and Geordie Simpson for instance?

Our website statement:
‘THE DIMINISHING BAND OF BROTHERS’

‘This site is dedicated to all those who have served and are no longer with us’

This is a group of serving and retired British Army OTTs/ODPs/ODAs Regular and Reserve.

We have no rules other than those conventions that govern good behaviour, no subscriptions and no committees. Serving and retired members are full voting members of the group. All widows, widowers, spouses and partners are associate non-voting members of the group. We come together to honour and remember those who have passed on and to lend a supporting hand to those who may need it from time to time. Members have a moral duty to look out for each other, support and help comrades, their partners and families who may be experiencing difficulties, perhaps by a phone call, a card or a visit.

Some stats:

1......Member blackballed due to language and views not in keeping with t
the ethos of OTT Reunited.

3......Members who saw service in the Korean War (Dave Taylor, Brian
Greaves and David Oates).

6...... Number of "Gala" reunions and P&P Gigs since formation.

14.....Known widows who we keep in contact with.

16.....Honorary Members

16.....Serving Members (? out of date)

25.....Members living overseas.

48.....Most website views in one day.

85.....Oldest member to travel from overseas to a reunion (Alf Payten).

110....Largest number attending a reunion

157.....Registered members on the website.

235.....RAMC OTTs registered on Facebook page (tri-service members
include).

258.....Full Members on OTT Reunited database.

330.....Miles travelled to a reunion by a UK member (Bob Sheppard).

439.....OTT Reunited website posts to date.

1000....Largest donation to OTT Reunited from a private medical company
(Bruan Medical UK)

1026....Amount donated by members to a bereaved member's family
towards funeral costs.

2006....First Gala Reunion (Hull) - Maj Gen Norman Kirby GoH.

2859....Balance in the OTT Reunited bank account.

2984....Largest amount raised for charity, including Gift Aid (Combat
Stress 2015)

7520.....Amount raised for service charities including Gift Aid (Combat
Stress/BLESMA/Blind Vets UK/Forces Children's Trust)

Stats to be proud off.....RAMC Reunited although a larger organisation can not compete with our charitable donations.

Thanks to all who get involved - including our readers.

Regards
Ken
