Dear all,
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of Ted a long serving member of OTT Reunited.
Ted sadly passed away on 7th April following a short illness. He was found at home by his son Robert. Cause of death not known at this time.
Ted served as an OTT in the 50s and 60s. He served in many BMHs in the UK and abroad including Hong Kong and Jamaica. In the early days he served with old friend John Harrison in Chester and later as a SSgt in Colchester in 1964 with the late Bernie Smythe and Steve Humphries. He went on to served as an RQMS in 31 Fld Ambulance in Munster. Ted spoke fluent Cantonese and married his late wife Lilly who was Chinese in Jamaica. They had one son Robert.
I am assuming that Ted’s funeral will be held in Colchester where he lived as does Robert. Once funeral arrangements are known I will circulate. I will be attending Ted’s funeral on behalf of the members of OTT Reunited.
